Kimberly Marie (Norris) Satterwhite was born on September 23, 1967, to the parents of Cordell Grier Norris and Lula Mae Norris in Indianapolis, IN. She has two older brothers, Dexter Norris and Chad Everett Norris.
Kimberly, who is affectionately called “Kim” by friends and family members, graduated from Fountain-Ft. Carson High School, Fountain, Colorado, in May 1985, in the top ten of her class.
Kimberly entered the United States Army, November 14, 1990, as a Chaplain Assistant and enjoyed eight years of active duty service. At her first duty station in Fort Riley, KS, the Lord blessed her to meet and marry her best friend, Joe Louis Satterwhite, Jr. They were joined in holy matrimony on Monday, December 7, 1992. They are blessed with three wonderful children, Ottis Williams, Jr., Alexis Chaunice (Williams) Anderson and Joe Louis Satterwhite, III.
Kimberly graduated from Saint Leo University in June 2002, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Resources Administration and a GPA of 3.4. She believes that education is the key to moving forward in life. She now attends Virginia Union University, Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology and will graduate with a Masters of Divinity in May 2012.
Kimberly has served in many capacities within the church. However, the youth has always been her calling and her passion. She believes that God has a plan for all and it is the responsibility of the wise to show the youth their potential.
Kimberly’s call to serve has led her back to the Army National Guard. She believes that God has called her into the Chaplaincy as a way to reach the masses.
