Pastor Joe L. Satterwhite, Jr

Joe Louis Satterwhite, Jr. was born in San Antonio, Texas to Joe Louis Satterwhite, Sr. and Marie (Martin) Satterwhite.  He received a strong foundation in Christianity when he attended Lakeview Baptist School, from kindergarten to the fourth grade.  Although he did not know it at the time, God was using these formative years to build a solid foundation under his feet that he would be able to stand on years later.  While attending Texas A&M University, Elder Satterwhite attended Lily of the Valley Church of God In Christ, in Bryan Texas, and sat under the dynamic ministry of Superintendant Maurice Green.   God was again working in the life of Brother Satterwhite, planting the seed of ministry in his heart.  Soon after leaving Texas A&M, Elder Satterwhite joined the United States Army on July 31, 1990.  On January 6, 1991, Elder Satterwhite landed in Saudi Arabia and participated in Desert Shield/Storm.  God was good to Elder Satterwhite and his unit and to the best of his knowledge, no one had to fire a single shot.  Many Iraqi’s in their area just gave up.

Joe Satterwhite met and married his lovely wife, Kimberly in 1992 at Fort Riley, Kansas.  They are blessed to have three children:  Ottis, Alexis, and Joe, III.  While stationed at Camp Red Cloud, Korea, Joe Satterwhite was appointed as a Deacon in 1994, by Pastor Samuel Hutchinson.

After a brief stay at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, Deacon Satterwhite and his family were stationed at Fort Lee, Virginia in 1996.  They attended Faith and Hope Temple COGIC, under the leadership of Dr.  Herman Crockett, Jr.,  the current Administrative Assistant of the New Millennium Fellowship. Deacon Satterwhite accepted his call into the ministry in the year 2000. He was licensed to preach on June 22, 2003 and ordained on August 16, 2007.

While at Faith and Hope, minister/Elder Satterwhite served in various positions.  He served on the ministerial staff of Dr. Herman Crockett, Jr. and received most of his administrative and ministerial training under his guidance.  He served in the roles of assistant chairman and chairman of the Men’s Department and secretary and chairman of the Ministerial Staff. He also served in various auxiliaries.

After attending his first National Holy Convocation of the Churches of God in Christ in 2009, and listening to the inspiring words of the Presiding Bishop, Bishop Charles Edward Blake, Elder Satterwhite felt compelled to answer God’s call to pastor.  Although it took a little more nudging from the Lord, Elder Satterwhite stepped out and founded Total Man Ministries.

Elder Satterwhite was blessed to receive mentorship in starting a ministry from Pastor Russell Johnson, the pastor and founder of Victory Family Worship Center and his lovely wife, Dr Sheary Johnson, the State Supervisor of Women for the New Millennium Fellowship.

Please pray for Elder Satterwhite and Total Man Ministries as they endeavor to minister to those God sends their way.
